Robert
Schmits
Born in The Hague, Holland Robert is the founder of
Italian Geographic.
He spent 7 years in the Royal Dutch Navy as an engineer
and 15 years as a technician in the international offshore
drilling business, working all over Europe, the Middle
East and in Africa.
During one of his assignments in 1983 he met his wife
Anna in Italy and decided to call it home. Over the
next 10 years he lived in Pescara, Piacenza and various
cities abroad. He came to Rome in 1994. The next ten
years he concentrated on selling parts to the oil industry.
In 2003 he opted for a change in business and lifestyle
and started Italian Geographic
Robert speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Italian
& Spanish. |
