How long and difficult are the daily hikes?
Most of our hikes cover 4 to 10 miles per day. We will be walking on paved and unpaved roads or on trails in a landscape which is generally gentle to moderately rolling. On some hikes there will be a limited elevation gain, but you do not need to be an expert hiker to join us on our walks. If you are in good health, exercise, and like to walk you can participate without any problem. (At Italian Geographic, we have no upper age limit and there is no need to have any previous outdoor experience.) If you have any question, please email us at hike@italiangeographic.com or call us (tel. 0039-06-78147420) and we will be happy to give you all the additional information you need.

Our guides are all English speaking professionals with years of experience in guiding groups through the areas where we’ll be going, and they all love to share their knowledge and experience with you.

How many guides will accompany us?
It depends. On the hikes there will always be two guides, one in front and one at the back to make sure that nobody strays off. Both guides will carry powerful walkie-talkies to keep in touch, if the group stretches out to much. During the walks in Rome or other towns there’ll be only one guide accompanying the group.

When booking a double room you should clearly request either a double bed or twin beds, otherwise we’ll assume that either is acceptable. Any three and four-bedded rooms requested are usually twins with extra beds. These rooms may not be suitable for adults and space will inevitably be limited.
