Italian Geographic
was founded by Robert and his wife Anna in 2004, they picked
up a love for hiking in 1992 when they temporarily lived and
worked in the mountainous area of Gijon, Asturias, Spain.
In 1994, upon their return to Rome, they continued going on
hiking adventures exploring many trails in the Roman country
side and in Umbria and Tuscany. Quickly it became clear to
them that Italy had much more to offer than just a nice trail
or scenery. In fact the Italian countryside is probably one
of the best places to combine hiking, archaeology, history
and of course some of the very best food in the world.
By 2003 Robert and Anna decided to create Italian Geographic,
the natural result of their enthusiasm for history and hiking
and meeting new people.
They continue to seek out new trails, interesting places and
great restaurants worthy of sharing with their clients. The
people at Italian Geographic are interested in recreating
for their clients the marvellous experiences they've had exploring
trails off the beaten track, learning about history and discovering
good restaurants.
